Cooperative cinema in Sants

Zumzeig, a small cinema-bistro located in a side street of Sants neighbourhodd, next to Sants Station, is the first cooperative cinema in Catalonia. This different cultural proposal, both committed and activist, is formed by a group of more than three hundred people. The own singular appeal of this place has made it become a great meeting and leisure point of the neighbourhood.

They only program cultural content of good quality and they offer it at a popular price. The films are screened in original version and often are very different from the typical films you can watch at common cinemas. Apart from films, its agenda also includes other activities that aim to break the screen-audience barrier: film presentations, talks with filmmakers, cinema sessions, meetings among filmmakers, concerts, paellas, round tables discussions, performances…

In addition, the space, which is small but very well distributed, has a nice bar where you can have a drink either before or after the film and talk about cinema and exchange opinions.

The living room captures the light on a sunny day and from here you have an access to the private terrace where you can find tables and chairs and plants.
