If you have come to Barcelona to spend a few days, and after strolling through the city your body asks for rhythm, dance, action or just a drink, then Sala Apolo and Laut (in Poble Sec, next to Sant Antoni Market) can be a good option for those who enjoy dancing electronic music.
Sala Apolo is one of the most emblematic venues in the city and a classic of Barcelona’s nightlife. Various organisers run parties every night with different styles, but it is on Friday and Saturday when Nitsa play its magic and techno and electronic music take over the speakers in the room. Artists such as John Talabot, Jamie XX, Nicolas Jaar, Black Madonna and many more have performed in this club.
A new and much smaller place has appeared right across the street. It is called Laut (loud in german). This new venue also offers an interesting musical approach within the world of electronic beats. These artists are surely less known, or not that world-famous as in the neighbouring room, but no less interesting in any case. The guys from Lapsus Festival are in charge of programming the DJ sessions and even though this place has been open for a short time so far, artists like the locals Sau Poler and Pedro Vian have already played in its ballroom.
